Growing up in the world of Agriculture has been one of the greatest blessings in my life! So many opportunities have come my way, I’ve met so many wonderful people – including the love of my life 😉 – this lifestyle has truly defined who I am as a mother, a wife and a member of society. Living in the Columbia Basin of Eastern Washington has exposed me to so many other facets of Agriculture than I ever have been exposed to in my life and I’m going to make it one of my missions through photography to share with you what this great land has to offer!
This is such a great time of year as everything that has been planted is starting to bust through the soil or being to bud! We planted 70 acres of corn on the 23rd of April and already we’re heading into the 5-leaf stage!
About the same time the corn went into the ground the apple orchards were in full bloom, now we’re already seeing little baby apples budding away!
Spring is a time for puppies! We just got ourselves a new member of the family and he’s already wormed his way into our hearts! Meet Cooper! Judging by the size of those huge feet he’s got a bit of growing up to do yet!
Even the birds have their fun in the spring, on our walk to the corn field we stumbled upon this little nest … good things come in threes! Of course Mama birdie – a kill deer – was playing the wounded soldier as she tried to scare us off!
